Project Details

The project involved the refurbishment and extension of existing residential units and the construction of an end of terrace 4-bedroom house in Stanmore, North London.

The site is situated at the end of a short row of terraced dwellings, located in a quiet residential area. The brief was to extend and reconfigure the existing flats by constructing a single-storey rear extension and a loft conversion to create additional habitable space for the existing flats. In addition, a new end of terrace house was built in a traditional style to match the remainder of the terrace.

The extension to the ground floor flat enabled the master bedroom to be increased in size and an en-suite bathroom to be added, whilst the first floor flat loft conversion created an additional two habitable rooms and a family bathroom. The new house consists of a large reception room with a separate kitchen and cloakroom on the ground floor; three bedrooms and a family bathroom on the first floor, together with a fourth bedroom and an en-suite bathroom within the loft space. Off-street parking and amenity space has also been provided within the tight site.
